SOMETSUKE is cobalt blue decorated (cobalt blue under glaze) porcelain. BULE-AND-WHITE porcelain is fit to food that is mostly brown or green. So traditionally SOMETSUKE has been popular in Japan. 染付けは白い土で形を作り、酸化コバルトの絵の具で絵付けして、透明釉薬をかけ、高温で焼いた陶磁器。絵付けは藍青色で、茶色や緑が多い食べものを美味しそうに見せてくれます。
